Meal Exchange

A Meal Exchange swipe gives you the ability to use one of your Crossroads Dining Hall meal swipes at approved locations for a $7.00 value. When your transaction is over $7.00, you can use Mocs Bucks, Credit/Debit, or Scrappy Cash to pay the remainder of the balance. The only campus dining locations the meal exchange is not accepted at is Starbucks and POD Markets. Meal Exchange swipes can only be used once per day.

How do I purchase a meal plan?

  • Residents will choose their meal plan on MyHousing before the semester begins
  • Non-Resident meal plans can be purchased using credit/debit card and through your student account using a financial aid deferment form below.

How do I use Financial Aid to pay for my meal plan?

  • Non-resident student who would like to use financial aid can fill out the Financial Aid Deferment Form here.
  • UTC will automatically charge your student account for the cost of the meal plan selection.
  • If by any chance the meal plan cost exceeds the amount of aid available, UTC will contact the student and/or parent to work out payment and/or discuss options.
  • Meal plan changes can only be requested during the first 2 weeks of the semester by sending an email to mocscard@utc.edu. Cancellations can only be requested if you withdraw from the university within the first 4 weeks of the semester. Refunds, if granted, are based off usage.

    How do I change my meal plan?

    Residents call the Mocs Card office (423-425-5819) within 10 business days of the first day of school
    Non-resident meal plans are non-refundable 24 hours after purchase

    What are Mocs Bucks and how do I use them?

    Mocs Bucks are loaded onto your Mocs Card with your meal plan and can be used at any dining location on campus, including the P.O.D. Markets. They expire at the end of semester.
